British Inline Skater Hockey Association (BiSHA) Limited is the National Governing Body for Skater Hockey in Great Britain. BiSHA is affiliated to the International Governing Body for Skater Hockey, the International Inline Skater Hockey Federation (iiSHF) and British Roller Sports Federation (BRSF) – the umbrella body of skating disciplines in the UK.
The game of Skater Hockey is fast, exciting and full contact, operating under similar rules to Ice Hockey although visually it has it's differences.
The game is played with a regulation ball as opposed to a puck, and players wear inline roller skates instead of ice skates.
Matches are played in leisure centres and purpose built rinks throughout the country. Each team is permitted to have 5 players on the pitch and this is usually four outfield players and a goalkeeper.
